2008 DPPJ Update

Buffalo, NY: Oct. 5, 2008 -
Millions of Christians united across denominational, cultural, and political differences on Sunday, October 5th to participate in The Day of Prayer for the Peace of Jerusalem and to ask for God’s blessing and provision upon all of her people. Christians gathered to pray not only in their local worship services around the world, but also in larger regional gatherings throughout states and nations, in a virtual “prayer room” created by a 24 Hour Prayer Conference Call, and through a special Jerusalem gathering where the prayers by Arab, Jewish, and Christian leaders were broadcast to 200 nations on GODTV Satellite network.

24-Hour Prayer Teleconference

Throughout the 24 hours of October 5th, a steady stream of Christians from all over the world called into the Teleconferencing Prayer Call, hosted by Greater Calling, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and for the many needs of her people groups. There were almost 700 calls into the virtual prayer room; many intercessors stayed on the prayer line for hours, while some called back periodically throughout the day.
